Ch 14.1 Conservation in Interactions

Ch 14.1 Conservation in Interactions

Year 12 Physics Queensland QCAA Physics Course Based on the text by Walding, New Century Physics for Queensland Units 3 & 4 An introduction to conservation in particle interactions. We will discuss baryon and lepton numbers and their conservation in interactions of fundamental particles of the standard model. Note, at 11 miin 20 sec there is an example of Muons. The normal matter version has the symbol 'mu' and has a negative charge. The anti matter version, an antimuon has the 'mu' symbol with a line on top (for antimatter) and has the opposite charge, so would have a positive symbol on the top right of the mu. You can see this in the table on the next slide.
