Vaccine Exemptions Rising
A new study shows Oklahoma is vulnerable to an outbreak of vaccine-preventable disease. Oklahoma is one of 18 states where non-medical exemptions for mandatory vaccinations are allowed, and the state has seen an increase in parents using the exemption to opt out of having their child vaccinated. State Senator Ervin Yen plans to again introduce legislation removing "philosophical" exemptions. This story aired on the ONR on OETA-The Oklahoma Network.
