Wasp-Class Amphibious Assault Ship USS Bataan Tour

U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy Sailors with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) host a tour aboard the USS Bataan (LHD 5) off the East Coast Dec. 4, 2013. The tour was held to display equipment and capabilities of a MEU. The MEU is scheduled to deploy in early 2014 to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations.
