Ingredients: 1 cup and ⅔ cup all-purpose flour ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder ¼ cup Nate’s honey 2 tsp and ½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp ground cinnamon ½ tsp salt ½ cup unsalted butter ½ cup and 1 Tbsp heavy cream 1 large egg 1 tsp and ½ tsp pure vanilla extract 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped Directions: Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Grate in the frozen butter. Add it to the flour mixture, and combine until the mixture comes together in pea-sized crumbs. Place in the refrigerator or freezer as you mix together the wet ingredients. Whisk together heavy cream, egg, Nate’s honey and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Drizzle over the flour mixture, add the 6 ounces of chopped chocolate, then mix together until everything appears moistened. Press dough into an 8-inch round shape, and cut into 8 wedges. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. After refrigerating, arrange scones 2-3 inches apart. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until edges pareset. Remove from the oven, and cool for a few minutes before eating.
