A motorcycle driver was seriously injured when he tried to out run police. Waterloo Police were in pursuit of the motorcycle after he failed to stop for them. The pursuit came to an end when the motorcycle entered the closed intersection of W 11th Street and Mitchell Avenue. The intersection is closed for reconstruction. Records state the driver was taken to the hospital by Waterloo Fire and Rescue with serious head injuries. As is normal in this situation, Iowa State Patrol was called to investigate the accident. NOTE: The motorcycle and driver came to rest behind the dirt pile that was on W 11th Street near the 320C markings. Parts of the video are shot in low light so it appears it is slowed down.
