In Matthew 2:13–23, we encounter a holy family forced to flee, a child threatened by political violence, and a world that has “no room” for God’s way of love and peace. Please note: this sermon engages themes of political violence, harm to children, and displacement, which may be difficult for some listeners. Care and compassion will guide our reflection. Together, we will consider how God is determined to make room anyway—and how the church is called to be a sign of hope, welcome, and courage, especially alongside refugees, the vulnerable, and all who long for safety and belonging.
