LORD HEAR US / The Extraction of the Stone of Madness
The Extraction of the Stone of Madness (1494) by Hieronymus Bosch speaks to the gullibility of patients and abstract hope of sanity. In a time of digital addiction, narcissism and plague (2020) we encounter lilting questions of sanity. Here we embark on a rich encounter with a cast of intrepid personas, creatures and machines inspired by everyday lives of five city dwelling performers. Working from the absurdity of these meetings we glimpse into a stage of earthly delights.
