Is The Foals FJM7 Ultra Worth Modding?
After the unexpected but overwhelmingly positive response to my deep dive on the Foals FJM7 Ultra, I got flooded with questions about what mods and upgrades are actually compatible with this thing. So I decided to fully upgrade one myself. In this video I cover everything from tremolo arm tips, switch tips, knobs, pickup covers, springs, bridges, tuners, pickups, electronics, and whether U.S. spec Jazzmaster pickguards actually fit. I also compare the upgraded Foals directly against a Fender Vintera III Jazzmaster, test bridge compatibility, answer some of the most common questions I've been getting, and share my thoughts on which upgrades made a meaningful difference and which ones weren't really necessary.
