Remembering SMRT City Direct Bus Service 670 Tribute

Created on 2 September 2021. Another Remembering Tribute is back! Now with SMRT City Direct Service 670. Formerly a private operator by Tong Tar Transport, later it operated by SMRT Buses w.e.f. 30 March 2020 on Weekday Peak Hours. Basically, City Direct Service 670 is to serve commuters living in Western half of Yishun - Yishun Ave 7, Yishun Ave 9 & Yishun Ring Road (Western half), or basically Services 800, 811 & 812 (West) sections. It bring these group of people fast towards Central Business District (CBD) via an expressway sector along Seletar Expressway (SLE), Central Expressway (CTE), with express sector along Outram Road & Cantonment Road. Initially, City Direct Service 670 was meant to continue to operate under Woodlands Bus Package (Negotiated Contract) by SMRT Buses. However on End-August 2021 before Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 2 opened, Tower Transit Singapore had announced that Service 670 will be transferring to Tower Transit Singapore instead, making it both City Direct Services 663 & 670 - Yishun City Direct leads to be operated by Tower Transit Singapore instead. This is when, it will be heading off from 6 September 2021 under Sembawang-Yishun Bus Package.
