Closing worship service and benediction prayers on 3/30/2025.

3/30/2025 morning worship service Pastor Anthony Fields " "Life's Decisive Moments" Luke 4:1-13 When you look back on your life what have been some of the decisive moments? ● THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS We often see the temptations of Jesus as decisive moments in his life. Maybe they are, but I wonder.....is there more to the story than a simple NO three times? Jesus most often gives answers that cause us to ponder further. ▪︎ "One does not live by bread alone." ▪︎ "Worship the Lord your God, and serve only Him." ▪︎ "Do not put the Lord your God to the test." ● THE POWER TO DECIDE Many decisive moments is that they're rarely cut and dry, clean pure, or simple." ________________________ Responsive reading: "In you alone we put our trust let us not be put to shame. Psalm 146:1 3 — Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; Put not your trust in rulers, nor in any child of earth I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. for there is no help in them. When they breathe their last, they return to earth and in that day their thoughts perish. In you alone we put our trust let us not be put to shame." ____________________ "Lord, our efforts at faithfulness are fraught with failure more often than we care to admit. Thank you that your love for us is never wasted. Keep us rooted in your word, eating at your table, and praying by your Spirit, so that we may remember when we fail that we are part of your family not because we deserve to be but because you want us. Amen." ___________________ "Think on This: Being "ALL IN" Christ" "A life lived all in is a life fully surrendered to Jesus—a life full of joy. The opposite of all in, a life of simply being aware of who Jesus is, always leads to disappointment and disillusionment. To be complete in Christ, necessitates that we know Him. However, this is not just knowledge, but true knowledge based on experience. If we know what Christ wants and what Christ wills, we have our best insight into who He really is. We are to acknowledge God in all our ways. This means that every action we take and decision we make should be done with God at the center. God must hold the place of highest importance, and the way we live should reflect this reality. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 — May God Himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together-- spirit, soul, and body--and keep you fit for the coming of our Master Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable." ___________________ "The refining process isnt easy, but it's always for our good" MALACHI 3:3; Philippians 1:6 You've probably heard the saying, "God loves you just the way you are, but He loves you too much to let you stay that way." What's the latest "fire" you've walked through? How did you experience God's love during the trial? Is there anyone you know who would benefit from an encouraging text or scripture? Take a minute to thank God for walking with you through the valleys of life then send a quick word of encouragement to a friend."
