After evaluating the macroeconomic conditions and future outlook, the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) kept the repo rate unchanged at 6.5 per cent for the 10th time in a row. The MPC also decided unanimously to change the 'withdrawal of accommodation' stance to 'neutral' with focus on growth.
