‘Prisoners fear dying with no one hearing about them’ says former Palestinian prisoner
Following the Israeli death penalty law, released prisoner Naji al-Jafarawi said the first thing that came to his mind was the fellow prisoners he had left behind. He explained that life in captivity means losing every aspect of daily life, amid constant raids and severe medical negligence, stressing that the message of all freed prisoners is: “We don’t want food or drink… we want the prisoners released.” He added that Palestinian prisoners “do not fear death… they fear that they would die and no one hears of them.” Support stories that matter.
