Feast of All Souls by Father Dury
On the Feast of All Souls, Father Dury reminds us of the profound importance of praying for all the souls of the faithful departed. Rooted in Sacred Scripture and practiced by the earliest Saints, praying for the dead is a spiritual work of mercy that the Church Militant must never cease to do. The most charitable act we can offer our loved ones who have passed away is not to assume they are already in Heaven, but to continue praying for their souls — that they may be purified and welcomed into eternal life.
