Deontay Wilder is back in the gym ahead of a potential heavyweight comeback later this year. But he looks a lot different from his last fight with Fury. Having lost the second clash, the Bronze Bomber was desperate to get back his WBC heavyweight title in an epic third clash that earned the 2021 Fight of the Year accolade. In an absolute slug-fest between two giants, Fury emerged victorious with a monstrous right hand in the 11th round. The ‘Bronze Bomber’ broke his hand during that third and final fight, an injury which needed surgery, and he hadn’t been to the gym since due to the recovery process. His inspired effort in the epic fight came at a price, with trainer Malik Scott detailing the long list of injuries suffered by Wilder as a result of the bout. Scott has confirmed Wilder was taken to hospital with a few injuries. Wilder has been out of action since that epic loss with WBC champion Tyson Fury in Las Vegas.
