LIVE CATHOLIC 11:30 AM |NINETEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME, YEAR C| August 10, 2025

TODAY’S REFLECTION Waiting for an important visitor to come can be stressful and worrisome, especially the kind of visitor Jesus talks about today in a parable about being dressed for action and having our lamps lit. The trouble is that the servants do not know when the master is going to appear. There is no way to call to ask about the time, or check the internet for the estimated time of arrival. And that is what happens in life most of the time; we are not clear about where our life is going and what God is saying to us. If we are faithful and trusting servants, any time is a good time. For an unfaithful servant, any time is a bad time. But if we truly trust God, whenever he calls it is a good time. Because with God, any time is a good time.
