KEEP TALKING ABOUT JESUS – Daily Devotional

Daily Bread Devotional: Devotional Topic: "KEEP TALKING ABOUT JESUS!" Verse of the Day: Acts 5:42 Devotional Message: (Acts 5:42) "Day after day,...[the apostles] never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah." Observation: The early disciples of Jesus faced many challenges when they shared the gospel. The religious leaders of their time tried to stop them. They were arrested, put in jail, and even beaten because they were talking about Jesus. But did they stop? No. Acts 5:42 tells us that day after day, they kept on teaching and preaching about Jesus. They shared the good news in the temple and in people's homes. They knew that Jesus is the Savior, and they could not stay silent. They had personally experienced His love, His miracles, and His power. They knew He was the only way to salvation, so they continued to talk about Him, no matter what happened. This verse reminds us that spreading the good news of Jesus is not just for pastors or missionaries. Every believer is called to share about Him—wherever they are, every single day. Application: Think about your daily life. Who do you talk to every day? Your family, friends, classmates, or coworkers? What do you usually talk about? We talk about so many things—sports, TV shows, food, or the latest news. But how often do we talk about Jesus? Many times, we hesitate to share about Him because we are afraid. We fear that people will reject us, laugh at us, or argue with us. But look at the disciples in Acts 5:42. Even though they were beaten and threatened, they did not stop. Their love for Jesus was stronger than their fear. Sharing about Jesus does not always mean preaching in front of a crowd. Sometimes, it means telling a friend how Jesus has changed your life. It could be as simple as encouraging someone with a Bible verse, praying for a friend in need, or sharing a Christian song or message online. We can also talk about Jesus through our actions. When we show kindness, patience, honesty, and love, people will notice. When they ask why we are different, we can tell them it’s because of Jesus. No matter where we are, we have an opportunity to share the gospel. The early disciples never stopped talking about Jesus. Let’s follow their example and keep sharing about Him—at home, in school, at work, and everywhere we go. Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the courage to talk about You every day. Help me share Your love through my words and actions. Let me be a light to those around me. Amen.
