First impressions matter, so i always think what games are most likely to hook someone in to the genre. In my mind, these 10 games fit the bill, and in no particular order, I'll share them all with you! My general criteria is that I wanted these JRPGs to be fairly recent and most importantly easily accessible. That would mean they are either multi-platform or on current gen hardware, or both in some cases.
