Orange vs. Purple Heroes – Which is Stronger? In Dark War Survival, orange heroes are the highest rarity and offer superior stats and abilities. However, obtaining a 5-star orange hero without spending money is extremely difficult. This raises a common question: 🤔 Is a 5-star purple hero better than a 3-star orange hero? To answer this, we conducted several tests comparing heroes at different star levels and examined their stats, skills, and combat effectiveness. Hall of Honor – Unlocking Hero Buffs Once a hero reaches 5 stars, they unlock the Hall of Honor system. This provides additional buffs that benefit either the entire faction or all heroes. Example: Cecilia's Honor Level boosts attack power for all heroes and shooters. The Honor Level has 250 tiers, each requiring 10 hero fragments for upgrades. Extra purple hero fragments can be used to upgrade more 5-star purple heroes, increasing buffs from the Honor Level. 💡 Tip: If you have multiple purple heroes, prioritize ranking them up to 5 stars for added faction-wide benefits. Hero Stats Comparison: 3-Star Orange vs. 5-Star Purple To ensure a fair comparison, we removed all equipment and analyzed Evans (3-star orange) vs. Cecilia (5-star purple). Both are strikers from the shooter faction. 🔹 Evans (3-star orange) ✔ Higher attack & defense stats ✔ More buffs for total troop attack & defense ✔ Stronger skill damage output 🔹 Cecilia (5-star purple) ✔ Higher troop capacity (can carry more troops) ✔ Can reach Hall of Honor buffs at 5 stars Although Cecilia has more troops, their individual unit strength is similar, meaning her additional troops provide minimal impact in battle. Skill Comparison – Power of Orange Heroes When comparing skill levels, orange heroes have a major advantage: At level 15, Francis (orange hero) deals 1719% attack damage. At level 15, Eddie (purple hero) deals 859% attack damage. A 5-star purple hero can upgrade their skills to level 25, making them closer in damage to an orange hero. However: ❌ Leveling skills to 25 requires a lot of purple skill books. ❌ Purple skill books are difficult to obtain without spending money. 💡 Tip: If you plan to spend money, invest in orange heroes rather than purple ones. If you’re F2P, slowly collect skill books for your best purple heroes. Battle Test Results – Who Performs Better? We conducted combat tests between Evans (3-star orange) and Cecilia (5-star purple). The results: 📌 Evans has 100k more CP than Cecilia despite having fewer troops. 📌 Evans’ total troop attack and defense buffs are higher. 📌 Evans’ active skill dealt 34,000 damage, while Cecilia only managed 17,000. 📌 Evans also outperformed Cecilia in normal attacks. 💡 Conclusion: A 3-star orange hero outperforms a 5-star purple hero in both damage output and buffs. Even though Cecilia’s skills could be upgraded to level 25, the cost is not worth it for F2P players.
