[Anchor] There have been a series of incidents where residents were injured or evacuated due to fires in apartments and houses. Wildfires also broke out in various locations, including Buyeo in South Chungcheong Province and Daegu, prompting helicopters and firefighters to be dispatched to extinguish the flames. Reporter Lee Hyun-jung reports. [Reporter] Hazy smoke billows from the apartment windows, and firefighters struggle to enter the building. Around 6:55 AM, a fire broke out on the first floor of an 18-story apartment building in Hawangsimni-dong, Seoul. As a result of the fire, two residents received treatment for smoke inhalation or burns, and about 40 people were evacuated. Around 2:20 PM, a fire broke out in a detached house in Soyuri, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi Province, and spread to a nearby hill. The main fire was brought under control about 30 minutes after the report was filed, but two residents of the house received treatment for smoke inhalation. Around 12:50 PM, a fire broke out at a construction waste storage site in Bangsu-dong, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. As demolition debris and waste materials burned, thick black smoke was emitted, leading to a series of reports. At a similar time, a fire broke out in an open field in Yongsan-dong, Andong, North Gyeongsang Province. Although no one was injured, nearby residents were temporarily evacuated as toxic smoke enveloped the surrounding area. In addition, wildfires broke out in succession in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, and Gunwi-gun, Daegu, prompting the dispatch of firefighting personnel and helicopters to carry out firefighting operations.
