Black Myth: Wukong: How to Unlock the waterfall of sand in Chapter 2 and Fight the Secret Boss Hey everyone, welcome back to the channel! Today, we’re tackling one of the toughest secret bosses in Black Myth: Wukong—the fearsome Black Loong. This electrified Yaoguai King is an optional boss hidden behind a waterfall of sand in Chapter 2. If you’re looking for a serious challenge and some powerful rewards, stick around, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more tips and tricks! First things first, you won’t be able to access Black Loong’s lair until you’ve obtained a special item known as the Loong Scales, which you can find earlier in Chapter 2. To get this, you’ll need to defeat the King of Flowing Sands and his Second Rat Prince son. Once you’ve handled them, head left from the boss arena into the Valley of Despair. Here, you’ll find a large, rounded wall with small statues. You can either lure the First Rat Prince to break it or use a powerful attack like the Wandering Wight’s Spirit Attack to create a crack in the wall. Inside, you’ll find the Loong Scales. With the Loong Scales in hand, head over to the Fright Cliff area, just opposite the Yellow Wind Ridge. Make your way to the Rockrest Flat Shrine, where you’ll notice a stairway leading up to a massive waterfall of sand. There’s a tough Spearbone enemy guarding the way, but once you defeat it, you can use the Loong Scales to interact with the sandfall, revealing a door behind it that leads to Black Loong’s lair. Now, let’s talk about the Black Loong fight. This two-legged dragon wields a pair of giant maces imbued with electricity, making him a formidable opponent. While you can face him early on in Chapter 2, it’s highly recommended to wait until you’ve completed Chapter 2 or even started Chapter 3, as his attacks are brutal. Before you engage, stock up on medicine to increase your shock resistance, and grab the Thunderbolt Horn Soak from the Shen Monkey. Another dangerous combo occurs when Black Loong starts pounding the ground repeatedly with his weapons, sending out electric blasts with each slam. This can go on for up to nine slams, with the final attack causing the biggest explosion. If you try to interrupt him, make sure to follow up with a strong attack that can stagger him; otherwise, he’ll keep the combo going. When you see Black Loong slowly raise his weapons and crackle with electricity, it’s a sign he’s about to create a series of aerial explosions that gradually increase in range. This is a good time to sprint to safety and use your medicines while you wait for the attack to end. For a sneakier way to avoid this attack, find some high ground in the arena. There are a few raised rocks—some that he may destroy over time—but these can get you off the floor where the electric rings travel. There’s one large rock near the entrance, two more near the back on either side of the stairs, and one more in the far corner. Finally, Black Loong can create a sandstorm similar to the Yellow Wind Sage. He’ll spin his weapons around, pulling you in close before slamming them outward for a massive detonation. If you have the Wind Tamer Vessel from the Fuban boss, use it to shatter the sandstorm and stun Black Loong for a few seconds. The toughest part of this fight is mastering the electric ring dance and evading his sandstorm. Use Immobilize to create openings, but know that staggering him is difficult. The Azure Dust Transformation can help keep him off balance, and the Pluck of Many can disorient him enough for you to land some charged attacks. When you finally take down Black Loong, you’ll be richly rewarded with a Loong Pearl, Mind Core, 2 Refined Iron Sand, 1576 Will, and 2770 Experience. You’ll also find a gold chest nearby with a Tridacna Pendant curio and a Thunderbone weapon material—one of two materials needed to craft the powerful Loongwreathe Staff.
