Footage of 6 year old Donnie Hayes, a victim of an automobile accident, lying in a hospital bed with his parents by his side. Reporter Larry Gaffney discusses the accident. Gaffney questions Mr. and Mrs. Haynes about the chances for Donnie's recovery, their younger child, and if they had anything to say to drivers. (5/30/1958) "Wallen, Polio Victim Feature." Footage of highway patrol dispatcher Dean Wallen at his desk working. Wallen was paralyzed from the waist down at the age of twelve, but is shown actively involved in skin-diving and weight-lifting. In the interview, he is questioned about his views on his handicap and philosophy of life. (5/29/1958) "Chick Farris Feature." City policeman William Paul Harris discusses his experience of being a "beat officer" on Reno Street in Oklahoma City. Harris explains that most of the people he works with are either "drunks" or involved with domestic abuse cases. In the case of "drunks," he explains how he allows everybody one chance to go home before he arrests them and shares a story. (5/26/1958) "Dill Pickle Feature." This feature is about the popularity of pickles among teenagers at movie theaters. Includes silent footage of theater manager Dave Lewis serving a pickle to a teenage girl, the girl eating a pickle and squeezing pickle juice into her soda. (5/26/1958) "Animal Cemetery." Silent footage of the Phoebe Smith Memorial Cemetery operated by the Oklahoma City Humane Shelter. Includes images of tombstones and a family visiting their former pet's grave. (5/2/1958) "OSU Graduation 1958." Silent footage of Oklahoma State University's 1958 graduation ceremony. (6/3/1958) "Cat Hunt." Silent footage of police, private citizens, and dogs hunting for a "big cat" which had been sighted by an Edmond man. The hunt was unsuccessful-no cat was found. Includes image of the coyote they discovered instead. (5/28/1958) "Peggy Anne Frye Arrested Again." Silent footage of Peggy Ann Frye, former girlfriend of executed murderer, Hurbie Ducky Farris, being questioned by police on charges of vagrancy.
