An online conversation about embracing change with hopes to break the boundaries of gender and judgement. I have learned throughout my process of transition the more I talk about things, the better I am as a person in understanding all lifestyles and creating more love. Join me for the next 30 days on this journey of life and let's start talking! Day 22 - Reflection: When we look in the mirror, what do we see?  A reflection of who we are, what we’re made up of, and a reminder of our current state of being.  I spent many years looking in the mirror and not knowing what I saw.  Not a man, not a woman, just me.  Whoever that person was, l refused to let labels define me.  It's important for us to reflect on our lives once in a while and pay attention to what comes up.  For me there happened to be a pattern of unwanted negative situations that kept arising in my everyday life.  It was not until I took the time to reflect on the role I was playing in these scenarios that I realized I was angry.  Angry at people for mis- gendering me, angry at the world for making me live this life, and angry when referred to as a "drag queen".  While some people would say "but you are a drag queen", I knew how hard I worked to get to this point of transition and for those who are familiar with these lifestyles know there is a big difference.  In the beginning of a transition, it can be common for people to mis-gender you.  Mis-gendering means referring to an individual as the opposite sex to which they either present themselves or self-identify.
