The 22nd Sunday after Pentecost November 9, 2025| 10 a.m. | St. Dunstan's |Carmel Valley CA 🌟 “Children of the Resurrection” This Sunday’s readings invite us into a posture of hope, courage, and eternal perspective. In Haggai, we hear the call to rebuild with confidence, trusting that God’s presence and promise will bring greater glory than the past. Psalm 145 echoes this assurance, celebrating God’s nearness, righteousness, and enduring love. Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians urges steadfastness amid confusion and fear, reminding us that truth and grace anchor us in turbulent times. And in Luke’s Gospel, Jesus reframes resurrection not as a continuation of earthly roles, but as a transformation into divine life—where we are no longer bound by death, but live as children of God. THE COLLECT Living God, burning wild and unconfined, you call us to a new being, free from the fear of death: take away the limits that bind our imagination and choke our compassion that we may feel your pleasure in all that brings us life; through Jesus Christ, risen and ascended. Amen.
