Mars Lander SpaceShip Concept (MADV)

Lockheed Martin unveiled the Mars Ascent Descent Vehicle Concept (MADV), capable of docking to the Mars Base Camp. The Mars Lander is a reusable, single-stage lander capable of descending to the surface from Mars orbit using supersonic retropropulsion. Drones and robots will scout the Red Planet to find the ideal place to land humans on the surface of Mars. Human missions to the surface of Mars could last up to 2 weeks with a crew of up to 4 astronauts.
