Blackmagic eGPU - Maybe not worth it after all?!

I decided to pull the trigger on the purchase of the Blackmagic eGPU released last week through the Apple store. After some playing around with it I'm not entirely sure it's worth it. I definitely won't be returning it, while it does what it's meant to do well perhaps it won't meet your expectation of this unit.
