Here is a rendition of mixes that the maestro creates About Him: Composer, Arranger, Producer, Songwriter, Musician, Actor Jonathan “Footz” Livas is a drummer, composer, bandleader, actor, and producer. He was born in Washington D.C. and raised in PG County’s Laurel Maryland. He has been playing drums since he was 2 years old and officially playing in church by the age of 10. Jonathan has a plethora of inspirations in music; however, his ultimate inspirations are Richard Smallwood, Quincy Jones, Maurice White, Tony Royster, J Dilla, Billy Kilson, Snarky Puppy, The Roots, Chris Botti Soulful Symphony, and Much More. Being from the DMV area, Jonathan was heavily inspired by Gospel and Go-Go. Although he loved many other genres of music it was not until he joined his first group “Cloud 9”, where he learned to become a true melting pot of genre bending. As a member of Cloud 9, Jonathan has opened for many artists and played in multiple renowned venues. Playing in venues such as Nissan Stadium, Carter Barron, Howard Theatre, The Filmore, NYC Bellhouse, and much more. He shared the stage and opened for artist such as, Trinidad James, The Roots, Teyana Taylor, B.O.B and Lightshow. At the age of 19, Jonathan got his first cymbal endorsement with Soultone Cymbals. Jonathan attended and graduated from Bowie State University where he marched in the Symphony of Soul Marching Band and played in The Jazz band as well. He has his bachelor’s degree In music technology. He also is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. It was there where he began to take acting as a course and got some musical theater work as the drummer in the infamous “Black Nativity” play. He also played “Young Melvin” in Roundhouse Theaters “I’ll Get You Back Again” Production. Post college he moved to Los Angeles California to pursue a music career with Cloud 9. Although he accomplished much with the group in 2017, he left the group and moved back to Maryland where He founded the group “Kontrolled Khaos.” He is the drummer, bandleader, and composer. The group has 7 members and 10 associate members made up of all music families including Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, Vocals, And Technology. The group has several recordings and it’s latest release is “Let Love” which sold on all streaming platforms and available in physical cd. My band, Kontrolled Khaos released our debut project “Let Love” available on all platforms.
