BOOM! Controlled explosion exercises in Russian Artic conditions

Russia’s Ministry of Defence released videos of members of the Northern Fleet’s engineering troop conducting exercises with controlled explosions. The ministry said the purpose of the training was to prepare the regiment for tasks involving the clearing of ice jams in waterways or on roads and practicing to set up pits for sheltering in wintery conditions.
