Prusisyon ng Paglilibing - Baliwag Lenten Procession - The Longest Procession in the Philippines

[Part 3] With life-sized statues depicting the Life and Passion of Jesus, the Baliuag Good Friday Procession is regarded as the longest and grandest procession in the Philippines. Faithful to their tradition, the lengthy procession started at 6:00 in the evening and as usual, as the last carroza leaves the Patio, the very first ones that left earlier have returned. This year’s procession was very significant and historical since it was the first procession after Baliuag was declared as a City. This year, a total of 126 carrozas participated in the annual event which resumed last year following cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
