In reading in Isaiah 40:1-5 Dr. Stuckey tells us God provides comfort to our hearts. That Isaiah 1-39 is the old testament warning and Isaiah 40-66 is the new testament of the future. Other verses to look at are Nehemiah 1:3, Luke 3:3 (repentance), Luke 3:16, Matthew 24:29-31 and Ephesians 2:4-5.
