Did Mark and Amber cheat on each other in Invincible? Well, sort of. Atom Eve has been in love with Mark since early on in the story in both the show and the comic. In the comic, however, it's much more explicit. She goes crying to Mark when Rex cheats on her with Kate, lying in his lap and sobbing to him. She also constantly gives hints to Mark that she likes him even when he is already dating Amber. Eventually, he learns of Eve's feelings when told by an alternate future version of her, but decides to stay with Amber. One day, when visiting Eve in Africa, the two give in and kiss each other but immediately get called on a mission to Mars. Mark tells Amber about the mission, but she cries, yelling at Mark that he just got back from a two-month mission in space and is leaving again. After hanging up, she calls Gary, someone she met at the library and became friendly with, to hang out and see a movie while Mark is gone. Mark never tells Amber about the kiss, but the two mutually and happily end things when Mark gets back, and Mark lets her know that he may pursue Eve in the future.
