Celebration of the Word, Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, Archangels, Feast.

The Mass readings were proclaimed and the Responsorial Psalm was sung in this Celebration of the Word of God, based on the structure in the Roman Missal, for Ash Wednesday. It had the Entrance Antiphon, Glory to God, Collect, readings as at Mass (but with the alternate first reading also proclaimed); in the discussion after the readings, from the liturgical book "Exorcisms and Related Supplications" the Invocation to Saint Michael the Archangel was read and the Litany Prayer was sung; then the Universal Prayer and a prayer at the end, "May the almighty and merciful God bless and protect us ...".
