DOZEN KILLED IN IMO EXPLOSION - ARISE NEWS REPORT

Dozens of people have been killed in an explosion at an artisanal refining site in Egbema-Ndoni Local government area in Imo State Arise News understands that the fire started in the wee hours of this morning in an illegal crude oil bunkering site at Abaezi forest, killing several persons. The National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency confirmed the incident in a statement adding that the inferno has subsided. Authorities say investigations are ongoing into the cause of the incident. The area is reported to be famous for oil theft. An incident similar to this happened in 2020 in that axis.
