Welcome to Mass in Our Lady of Loretto & St Michael on this the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In part this weekend’s theme is leadership. In Christianity the image is always that of the shepherd who guides and protects. Leadership – true leadership not that offered by modern politicians – is about listening and responding to people’s needs, but it can also be about teaching and correcting. Now that demands a loving character and prayerful inspiration: leading from the front, leading by example, leading from the heart.
