‘Bully with no moral compass’: Liberal senator delivers scathing judgement of PM
Liberal Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells has labelled Prime Minister Scott Morrison an “autocrat” and a “bully with no moral compass” in an extraordinary speech delivered in the Senate on budget night. Ms Fierravanti-Wells, who has been in Parliament since 2005, said while she had met many “ruthless” people in her public life, the Prime Minister “tops the list”. Over the weekend, Ms Fierravanti-Wells was demoted in preselection to an unwinnable seat on the Senate ticket, and will be leaving politics at the next election. Mr Morrison has dismissed Ms Fierravanti-Wells’ remarks as those of a disgruntled and disappointed Senator.
