Every one of us is influenced by the people we watch. From the time we are young, we absorb habits, attitudes, and responses—often without realizing it. Even with sincere intentions, we tend to pick up the shortcomings around us more quickly than the strengths. That’s the reality of living in a broken world. But God does not leave us without guidance. Throughout Scripture, He lifts up men and women whose lives shine like beacons of faith. This week, we turn our attention to two of them—Joshua and Caleb—leaders who stood firm when everyone else wavered. Their loyalty to God wasn’t shaped by the climate of their culture, but by the clarity of their conviction. Their stories show us that a life anchored in God can remain steady through pressure, uncertainty, and fear. Their example calls us to something higher: a transformed life, shaped not by the patterns around us, but by the character of the God we serve.
