(March 10th 2024) For this year’s Super Mario Day, Nintendo and Illumination have confirmed that they have been hard at work together on the Super Mario Bros. Movie 2. The news was announced today on MAR10 Day by legendary developer Shigeru Miyamoto. As they confirmed, that the official release date would be April 3rd, 2026. While not much was revealed, it was confirmed that The Super Mario Bros. Movie directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will be returning for the new movie and that animation on the project will begin soon. And since, the sequel is confirmed to be actively in development. aside from the confirmation of Yoshi, appearing in the sequel. I hope, we get to see more fan favorite characters like Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Toadette, Bowser Jr. Hopefully, there’s more Mario & Luigi team-up moments throughout the whole adventure in the sequel. Also, another banger musical song from Jack Black’s Bowser again.
