EU leaders agree to move Brexit talks to second phase

EU, 브렉시트 2단계 협상 착수 공식 결정…"미래관계 논의 시작" EU leaders say Brexit talks are now officially in phase two, focused on finalizing the bloc's future relations with Britain after the divorce settlement. They've released guidelines to begin trade and security talks, slated for early next year, but warned that the next rounds of talks will be much tougher. The EU will go through a two-year transition period after the UK leaves in March 2019... with negotiations on the second phase to start in three months. British Prime Minister Theresa May said the breakthrough was an "important step" on the road to Brexit.
