Allahus-Samad. Lam yalid wa lam yoolad. Wa lam yakul-lahoo kufuwan ahad. 📖 English Meaning: Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him. Surah Al-Ikhlas is the 112th chapter of the Qur’an and one of the shortest, yet most powerful surahs. It is a declaration of pure monotheism and summarizes the concept of Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah) in just four verses. Verse 1 emphasizes that Allah is Ahad – uniquely One, with no partners. Verse 2 describes Allah as As-Samad – the Eternal Refuge, independent of all, while everything depends on Him. Verse 3 rejects all forms of human-like attributes for Allah – He neither gives birth nor was born. Verse 4 reinforces the uniqueness of Allah by stating that nothing is equal or comparable to Him.
