
Chicken Liver = Amazing Source of Folate
Years ago, I realized I was deficient in folate. After I started eating pasture raised chicken liver just once a week, my folate level more than doubled and continues to be in a great range. This is something that was important to me in preparation for and during pregnancy. I also make sure to eat lots of egg yolks which are also high in folate. To me, chicken liver is much more mild in taste than beef liver. I like searing it in butter with caramelized onions. I always feel amazing after eating it, too! This is one of the only fresh organs I still eat regularly. 😅 I’m grateful every day for nourishing foods. ❤️🩹
