Pro-surfer escapes close encounter with great white shark
Video footage has surfaced, showing a pro-surfer escape a close encounter with a great white shark in northern New South Wales. A surf life-saving drone captured the moment a 1.5 metre great white swam dangerously close to Matt Wilkinson surfing off the coast of Ballina, almost touching his board before swimming off. Authorities closed the beach soon after the encounter.
