Warrior Rock Lighthouse Trail - Sauvie Island, Oregon
Hiking the Warrior Rock Lighthouse Trail - Sauvie Island, Oregon. If you're looking for an easy hike along the Columbia River super close to Portland, this may be the trail for you. (45 minute drive from downtown Portland). The hike is mostly flat with little to no obstacles. I've researched this hike, and I see 6.5 miles to 7 miles round trip. All I know is that we defiantly got our steps this day! The light house is pretty small, and you can NOT climb to the top of it as there is no ladder or stairs. The lighthouse is perched on a small rocky cape, with 4-5 foot cliffs surrounding it. ***In the video I mention about cliff diving, however I don't suggest it or I am telling you to do it, as I/we don't know what's down below, and you could get seriously hurt if you even try it. DON'T DO IT. There are a few beaches along the path with wide open clean sandy beaches to check out. If you're into nude beaches or clothing optional beaches, you will pass many areas while driving to trailhead (clearly marked) on your way to the Warrior Rock Light House trailhead. A parking pass/permit is also required in this area.
