Artwork by Take Me Back Pirate Radio Archives. Decos is a veteran DJ. He featured as part of north London collective known as the Boomskat Crew with DJ Papa Ibsy and MC Dr Jekyll which formed in 1998 during the Mission FM 90.6 days. The Boomakat Crew also did shows on Mac FM 92.7 in the late nights. Decos' roots as a DJ did lie in the Jungle scene, but at an early stage he took a particular interest in DJing House and Garage before a whole host of DJs jumped on the bandwagon of UKG in 1998 onwards. Decos also worked for Garage record label, Ice Cream Records which played a pivotal role as during the 90s. Interestingly, Decos survived the test of time. He was only dedicated DJ to London's 90.6 FM dial, over a decades tenure on the 90.6FM dial he lasted three pirate radio name changes, from Chicago FM, to Mission FM and then Y2K FM. Roughly under two years before this recording, Chicago FM was earlier known as Pulse FM 90.6 which played Jungle music and had the likes of DJ Nicky Black Market on there. At its height of broadcasting, Chicago FM had scores of talent on their station from, DJ EZ (known as DJ Easy O back then), DJ DLux, MC Neat plus many more.
