Dr. Chanequa Walker-Barnes writes this week, "I have been working at befriending my inner critic. It turns out that her messages of limitation, inadequacy, and fear are motivated by love and meant to shield me from disappointment, rejection, and pain. Slowly, I am trying to teach her a different love language, one that is patient, that is kind, and that doesn't keep a record of complaints." Imagine what might change about how we relate to God and others when we learn to see and speak of ourselves as God's beloved!
