Double Chocolate Red Velvet Cookies | Valentines Day Cookies | Easy Step by Step Recipe

Whether or Not you believe in celebrating Valentine’s Day, you’ve got to believe in these cookies! Crumbly, gooey, chocolatey! Red Velvet Marble Cookies Recipe 👇 Ingredients: ½ cup (115g) butter, softened 1¾ cups (210g) all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon (9g) Dutch-processed cocoa powder 1/3 cups (65 grams) packed brown sugar 1/3 cups (65 grams) granulated sugar ½ teaspoon baking powder ¼ teaspoon salt 1 large egg Strong red food coloring ½ cup (90 grams) white chocolate chunks ½ cup (90 grams) dark chocolate chunks Instructions Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix until combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined. Split the dough evenly into two bowls. Add a few drops of strong red food coloring to one half of the dough. Mix until the color is evenly distributed. To the red dough, fold in the white chocolate chunks. To the brown dough, fold in the dark chocolate chunks. Form 6-7 balls from each dough, making 12-14 balls total. Take one red dough ball and one brown dough ball. Gently press them together and shape into a single marble-like ball. Repeat for the remaining dough balls. Arrange the marbled cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container. Tips Do not overbake the cookies to prevent them from drying out. Use top and bottom heat in the oven; avoid broiling. Store completely cooled cookies in an airtight jar at room temperature. For the best experience, microwave the cookies for 15-20 seconds before serving.
