Rutilio Grande was a Jesuit priest and martyr, who dedicated his life to advocating for the poor and oppressed. His commitment to justice, inspired by the Gospel, made him a target of persecution, and he was assassinated on his way to celebrate Mass. His martyrdom deeply moved St. Oscar Romero, leading him to defend the suffering people of El Salvador. May Blessed Rutilio’s courage and faith inspire us to stand firm in Christ’s truth.
