WHD 2018: the trauma surgeon working in the conflict affected area in eastern Ukraine
In April 2014, trauma and orthopaedic surgeon Dr Ruslan Vereskun fled from intensifying conflicts in his town of Luhansk, Ukraine. More than four years later, he is still among the 1.5 million internally displaced people in Ukraine.
