In these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son. God has appointed Him heir of all things and made the universe through Him' I. God speaks through history Il. God speaks through Christ Ill. God speaks to transform Some of you this past year have received messages that have absolutely changed your life. Some messages were good, some not so good, some questionable. In the midst of all life's messages there remains the message of joy and celebration. He shouts "Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad!" " _______________ "You speak in my heart and say, "Seek my face" : your face, Lord, will I seek. Psalm 27:1 - 4 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom then shall I fear? : the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom then shall I be afraid? When evildoers came upon me to eat up my flesh :it was they, my foes and my adversaries, who stumbled and fell. Though an army should encamp against me :and though war should rise up against me :yet my heart shall not be afraid: yet will I put my trust in him. You speak in my heart and say "Seek my face": your face, Lord, will I seek." ________________ "Lord, when we strive after healing in the world and nourishment for those who hunger, we find you at our side. Whenever we long to see your face, help us not to avoid the corners of our communities where you most often dwell. Stir our hearts that we might seek and find you today in those places where you have promised to be. Amen." __________________ " "THINK ON THIS: The Message of Peace" Luke 2:14 The message "Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men". From the angels' announcement at Jesus' birth (Luke 2:14), signifying God's favor and desire for reconciliation, calling humanity to extend kindness, forgiveness, and love, reflecting divine grace and fostering harmony, even amid conflict, as a call to action for peacemakers. It's a call to reflect God's favor by loving others, forgiving, and working for peace, not just a passive wish, but an active pursuit of reconciliation and divine connection. Call to Action: It's a directive for people to embody goodwill by loving neighbors, enemies, and strangers, extending grace and mercy. Restoration: The message promotes healing divisions, restoring relationships, and seeking harmony in a conflicted world. Gospel Proclamation: It heralds the arrival of the "Prince of Peace" (Jesus), offering forgiveness and redemption, bridging the gap between God and humanity. Antidote to Strife: In times of polarization it's a powerful call to be peacemakers and seek reconciliation. Not Merely Optimism: lt's not about expecting universal peace without effort but about finding peace through faith and actively sharing it. Active Peacemaking: It challenges believers to actively forgive, love, and pray for others, fulfilling the spirit of the angelic announcement." _____________________ " "You Have a Brand, But You Don't Know What it Is" Mark 12:1-17 ▪︎ What are two to three phrases you reqularly use to describe yourself (either in person or on social media)?
