Pope Visits Graves of Children and Unborn on All Souls Day

Pope Francis joined the mourners at Rome's Laurentino cemetery for Mass on the feast of All Souls and made a special visit to a section of the cemetery dedicated to the remains of the unborn. This cemetery includes a special area for deceased children and the "Garden of the Angels," where parents can choose to bury their miscarried babies instead of having hospitals dispose of the remains. The pope placed a bouquet of white roses at the garden's entrance, surrounded by stuffed animals, toys, pinwheels, and heart-shaped pots of white chrysanthemums, contrasting with candles and flowers at other graves. Instead of delivering a homily, he led the congregation in a moment of silent reflection during the Holy Mass and urged that visiting the graves of loved ones would renew their faith in Jesus, who died, was buried, and rose again to save humanity. ---------------- Social Media ---------------- Facebook:   / shalomworldnews   Instagram:   / shalomworldnews   Twitter: https://x.com/shalomworldnews
