Our life is like a desert. We are on pilgrimage and have no permanent address anywhere. Therefore, until we reach our true homeland, we need nourishment for the journey. It is the Eucharist, prefigured in the manna given to our fathers in the faith, the living and spiritual bread that contains not only grace, but its very Author. What better help could Heaven have given us to reach salvation?
