Georgia on my mind - Stapleton Tenor - Alex @ Southern Ukulele Store

Alex giving us a tune on the Marshall Stapleton Tenor. One of a pair of recently reduced beauties finished recently by Marshall. By way of experimentation, he fitted one with X bracing (this one) and one with Fan bracing. This one sounds very smooth, mellow and bassy, whilst the Fan braced one sounds a lot more sprightly, with a prominent treble range. This is a wonderful sounding instrument, with a mellifluous voice which lends itself to jazz really nicely. The finish is still a little less than perfect, but the fundamentals of the build are excellent. This stacks up soundwise against any hand made ukulele in the world today, but you have to forgive the odd smudge in the finish or tool mark. These Ukuleles are fantastic and the discount (original price 650GBP) is not reflective of the quality in any way. This is a chance to pick up a Stapleton at a bargain price.
